Franz Malmsten (born 1999) graduated from the Old Town Educational College in 2019 and then studied film acting in London for a year. Since 2020, he has been studying at the Baltic Film, Media and Arts School. His short film, based on the short story "Põgenikud" by Martin Algus, won the Best Director, Screenwriter (Marian Vridolin), Editor (Kadri Ligi) and Lead Actor (Jaan Rekkor) award at the 2023 Best of BFM festival of the Baltic Film, Media and Arts School.
Anna encounters an ancient tree and its cunning inhabitant, who offers her what she yearns for most - love. Blinded by desire, she decides to make a wish. Her decision sets in motion a sorrowful tale, fraught with peril and ensnaring her in a tangle of repercussions and dark bargains.
Johannes Magnus Aule graduated from the Baltic Film, Media and Arts School in 2020. In 2023, he received his MA from the National Film and Television School in London. His student film "Reiv" (2019) from BFM participated in almost 20 international festivals (including HÕFF), was awarded the 2020 Anri Rulkov Prize and helped him get into the prestigious London Film and Television School. In NFTS, he made the student films "Kathy and Jeb" (2022) and "Memories of Mummy and Daddy" (2022), as well as "Tree of Many Faces" (2023), which will screen at this year's HÕFF and was pre-selected for the BAFTA's among only 20 films out of 800. After graduating from NFTS, Aule is preparing his first feature film in London.
The narrative of "Siren" takes place in a world where fairy tale characters are to blame for everything. Despite the peculiarities of this world, Toomas' life revolves around his neighbor Eevi's house. Finally, the day has come when the woman arrives to have dinner with the man. However, not everything goes as planned - to Toomas' misfortune, a beautiful mermaid appears in front of his car. From there, events unfold that threaten to turn the shy Toomas and his neighbor into fearsome criminals.
Katariina Škurinski is studying film directing at the Baltic Film, Media, Arts and Communication Institute which is part of Tallinn University. She also has experience as a studio photographer and a digital artist.

Director Ivar Murd (b. 1990) in Kohtla-Järve – a shale oil mining town in East Estonia. He has lived in Finland, Denmark and the United States. Graduated magna cum laude in 2013 from Fairleigh Dickinson University (Madison, NJ, USA), Department of Audiovisual Arts, majoring in Directing with a minor in Studio Arts. Winner of EFTA / Estonian Film & Television Awards 2022 for the tasteful experimental portrait "u.Q.". He is one of the organizers of Mägede Hääl music festival. CEO of Kino Sõprus since 2020.
