Mum, I'm Alien Pregnant
When a messy millennial underachiever accidentally gets alien-pregnant she must reclaim her life.
Mary and Boo are both 20-something shut-ins living with their mums, and they’re both into tentacles – or rather – she’s into tentacles, and he has tentacles for testicles. Mary’s dreams of moving out are put on hold by a projectile-insemination situation that escalates into an unwanted alien pregnancy. Both mums get involved but fail to untangle the red tape around abortion before nature takes its alien course and Mary goes into labour inside an igloo of vaginal mucus. Mary survives, and heroically says nope to caring for the alien baby, leaving that to its alien baby daddy. Boo develops an alien breast, along with a new level of appreciation for (and dependence on) his mum as he learns to care for the otherworldly baby.
The hilarious science fiction comedy, based on the short film “Help, I'm Alien Pregnant”, which was also screened at HÕFF, premiered at this year’s Sundance Film Festival.
